The majority of club flying takes place at Paraparaumu airport on the Kapiti Coast, about 50km north of Wellington. Kapiti has a climate quite different to Wellington, and althought the weather may be bad in the city, it is often warm and sunny in the coast and quite soarable.

The club house is located on the south eastern side of Paraparaumu airfield. To get to the club house, take the metal road opposite Te Roto Drive and follow it around the border of the airfield.

The runway in use will depend on the wind direction on the day. When you turn up, make yourself known to someone at the club house and they will either escort you to the operations caravan ('Checkers') or arrange for someone to come and pick you up and escort you onto the airfield.
